This is Simranjit Gill, who is one of the co-founders of GenConnect along with Jshan, Simran, Gurshaan and Manpreet. She is the Director of Senior Engagement and Lead Interpreter. Simranjit connects with seniors and engages them in our workshops and events. She oversees the senior committee and allows them to feel apart of GenConnect’s journey. She enjoys working very closely with the seniors in our community while eliminating the generational barrier. She is consistently inspired by the affection and blessings that seniors show when they attend events and courses.

Simran Garcha is a Co-Founder at GenConnect, actively pursuing her major in Psychology at The University of British Columbia. Her primary responsibility involves directing child and youth engagement with seniors, overseeing activities and performances at events and workshops. Simran excels in fostering partnerships with local businesses and securing sponsorships to advance GenConnect's mission. With a passion for hosting outdoor events, she thrives on uniting communities and creating lasting, impactful experiences. Beyond her professional endeavours, she is dedicated to advocating against social injustices and exploring diverse cultures through her love for travel.

Manpreet is one of the Co-Founders of GenConnect. Her detailed role would be described as Director of Internal Affairs & Public Outreach and the Volunteers Coordinator. Alongside GenConnect Manpreet is committed to making a difference throughout the community through a number of other initiatives and projects she is involved in. She enjoys playing soccer, dancing and loves to travel and explore!

Jshandeep is the lead mentor of GenConnect. She is a professional non-profit and strategic community development leader who works with racialized youth and families. Her work is grounded in intersectionality, anti-oppression, and racial justice. In addition to pursuing her Masters in Child, Youth, Family & Community Studies, Jshan has co-founded two non-profit organizations: Let Her Talk & The South Asian Healing Network, and she is Co-Director of Solid State Community Industries. She enjoys seeing the intergenerational connections formed through GenConnect, and is especially passionate about cultural exploration and reclamation.

Navjit graduated from SFU with a Bachelors in Psychology. Navjit works as a historian for GenConnect. In her free time, she enjoys reading books and watching movies. She has always had an interest in History. Navjit particularly enjoys researching South-Asian Canadian history in Canada. She currently is responsible for research and heritage related outreach in the community.

Gurshaan is one of GenConnect’s Co-Founders and is more specifically the Director of Community Outreach and the team's Marketing Manager. He is in charge of outreaching in the community to find events that seniors can attend. He is also in charge of ensuring the community knows of our events by printing and placing advertisements around the community.

Gursharan is one of GenConnect’s members. He is the Director of Logistics and the Media Production Lead. His duties consist of working on creating video content for the team, such as trailers and highlights as well as preparing or locating the supplies needed during events. He makes sure the events have the appropriate supplies, such as food, props, video and audio equipment, and more. In his free time he likes learning new things, such as learning how to use new technologies.
