HAVE A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
Our lives are so rushed, there is always something that must be done. We are always on the go with no time to catch our breath. So, let this be a reminder to breathe. Taking five minutes of your day to practice mindfulness can put your mind at ease and slow things down. Take a deep breath in and let it out, gently close your eyes and repeat taking deep breaths. There are many ways we can slow things down; like having a stretch, taking a walk, making yourself a meal, or calling a friend. These are all different forms of self-care. It is vital to take time every day to nourish our mental health and have check-ins with ourselves. Ask yourself what sits right with you and maybe something you do not resonate with. You are your biggest strength and weakness at times so knowing the ins and outs of your mind lets you decide what you need to heal. Take that step towards self-care today, you deserve it.
Try this: pick up a new hobby, create a list of personal daily goals for yourself to accomplish, get inspired to take on a workout challenge, set reminders on your phone to give yourself a break to unwind and relax (unclench your jaw, drink a cup of water, stretch, and roll your shoulders)
